Arno 20
Rosso heritage in a bookshelf format
The Arno20 delivers an authentic, uncolored listening experience, preserving the sound’s character as envisioned by the artist and sound engineers.
This is achieved through a custom 6.5” woofer, developed in collaboration with a renowned Italian manufacturer, featuring a treated paper diaphragm with a silky outer layer and a stiffer inner core that ensures fast, natural midrange response. The powerful ferrite magnet, large voice coil, and over-damped reflex system work together to provide deep, articulate bass, while the tweeter, inspired by our flagship Siena model, ensures remarkable clarity and consistency across a wide listening area.
The multi-layered cabinet reduces resonance, blending outstanding acoustic performance with Italian craftsmanship, while the premium crossover components bring every subtle detail to life with precision and musicality.
To ensure an authentic listening experience, sound should come only from the drivers, not the cabinet. Vibrations in cabinet panels cause distortion, so they must be as inert as possible. Rosso’s constrained layer damping, used throughout the ARNO series, minimizes internal resonances by combining materials with complementary acoustic properties. This approach enhances rigidity, damping, and overall clarity. Listeners enjoy a purer sound, a more defined soundstage, and better bass response. Additionally, fibrous damping materials and air “cushions” help absorb cabinet resonances, improving energy distribution inside the speaker.
In our design philosophy, we don’t adhere to a single electroacoustic approach but choose the technique best suited to each product’s goals. We avoid rigid design constraints and focus on the most effective filtering methods to achieve the desired outcome.
The outcome is our priority, guided by both our academic expertise in electroacoustics and practical experience. For the Arno20, the crossover was carefully engineered from scratch, using high-quality components from top international manufacturers, alongside exclusive, in-house developed elements like our custom coils.
True to our philosophy, we’ve implemented various types of filtering, ensuring a highly resistive and stable impedance while minimizing phase variations. This avoids critical points where impedance and phase could stress the amplifier, ensuring it operates optimally and improving overall sound quality.
The Rosso Fiorentino S-A20 stand is crafted to provide a solid, high-performance base for the ARNO20 bookshelf speakers. Its elegant matte black soft-touch finish complements the brand’s latest models.
Key features include a front compartment filled with marble microgranules to dissipate vibrations by converting kinetic energy into heat, improving sound quality. A wide rear channel ensures clean cable management, while easily adjustable spikes allow for quick installation. For enhanced stability and vibration control, the speaker can also be directly screwed onto the top plate, creating a solid mechanical coupling.
Made from HDF with a soft-touch paint formulation, the S-A20 blends technical functionality with refined design. The embossed Rosso Fiorentino logo on the central leather band adds a touch of elegance. The S-A20 offers both advanced performance and refined aesthetics to fully support the ARNO20 speakers.
