The engineering challenge behind the new Elba 2 was to put in our entry level model the same enthusiasm, design expertise and innovation that we put in our higher-end speakers so as to give the listener the pleasure of a real high-end acoustic experience.
Made in Italy with exceptional craftsmanship, the Elba Series 2 features custom-designed drivers, engineered exclusively for this model. It includes dual 6.5” woofers with coated fiberglass cones for optimal stiffness and damping, paired with a refined motor system that minimizes power compression. The vented loading design places aluminum-damped ports directly behind each woofer, reducing time delay and enhancing bass extension and control. A 26mm wide-surround silk dome tweeter, powered by a double magnet, delivers extended high frequencies up to 40kHz with excellent off-axis dispersion.
Beyond its high-quality drivers, the Elba Series 2 benefits from a meticulously designed crossover, ensuring a coherent frequency response both vertically and horizontally. This advanced network drastically reduces impedance variations, making the speaker highly compatible with a wide range of amplifiers. It features high-end audio-grade capacitors exclusively customized for Rosso by ClarityCap, proprietary Italian-made inductors, and precision thick-film resistors—components that reinforce the crossover’s uncompromising quality.
