Slim design, full-scale sound
The Certaldo 2 is a mostly re-thought and re-designed system which takes the performance of our slim design floorstander up to the next level. It definitely performs out of its physical size. It already did, but now in an even more seductive and elegant way.
Certaldo 2 features a re-engineered 5.25” mid-woofer designed for enhanced low-frequency authority and reduced distortion. Improvements in the motor venting system and suspension materials allow for greater control and efficiency. The bottom aluminum port has also been redesigned with an enlarged gradual flaring, further optimizing bass response. Retaining its highly regarded 1” neodymium wide-surround silk dome tweeter, this model benefits from an all-new crossover, ensuring even smoother integration between drivers for a more natural and balanced sound.
The redesigned crossover provides a more extended low-frequency response, improved efficiency, and a nearly resistive impedance, making the speaker compatible with a wide range of amplifiers. High-end components, such as custom Rosso capacitors by ClarityCap, precision thick-film resistors, and proprietary Italian-made inductors, contribute to a refined and dynamic sound signature. These refinements ensure that the Certaldo Series 2 delivers exceptional musicality, combining power, control, and detail in an elegant, slim floor-standing speaker.
The Certaldo 2 enclosure is built using Layer Constrain technology, combining HDF, rubber, and aluminum to create an exceptionally rigid and inert structure. This sophisticated multi-material construction minimizes unwanted resonances and enhances the speaker’s clarity and dynamics. The hybrid rear/down-firing loading system has been further developed, increasing enclosure volume by 10% for improved bass performance while maintaining the clean and elegant design that defines Rosso Fiorentino speakers.
